Education.
The system of what?
What is the appropriate structure for communicating basic information? Society glorifies the aimless achievements of higher education as if state universities withold some elusive latchkey to the secrets of happiness and your unmerciful needs to be economically immoderate. And so derives a system where the community forces children to enable the expense of thousands of dollars worth of tuition in exchange for some senile instructor to commit to a conversation; where he/she shares his/her outdated contributions and philosophies pertaining a modern day society that they have proved to be too old to keep up with.... and so they teach.
Higher education has so far prepared me to comprehend nothing more than what I could have just as well learned on the job and performed just as effectively. But the structure of education promotes this sense of competitiveness among us where, from the beginning, we endulge in the concept of social class and what exactly distinguishes apart from one another.
What is the identity of intelligence?
We thrive for 4.0 grade point averages in hopes to get hired for a job that pays an absurd amount of money. We desire the highest salary so we can live for the highest cost of living.
There are no values in necessities in our culture.
We all want more than what we need so that we can shamelessly feel above those who only have what they need. Because apparently, inadament objects have somehow penetrates the subconscious of human nature and have become the symbolism for human significance.
For somebody, somewhere... some tennis shoe technological invention will be made and released tomorrow, and if that person does not have it by the day after, they will feel less of himelf/herself; as if the product made a difference to his/her ego before the product existed.
The structure of a learning environment should not advocate these idiotic ideals. No mission statement should forward the values of the "haves" and the "havenots". That way of thinking should be mistakenly evolved as opposed to initially embedded.

The Monarch School in San Diego, California, is exactly what the model of structured education should value. The Monarch School is a school that specifically enrolls and educates homeless and at-risk children.
So, I give my compliments to Sarita Fuentes, CEO/principal of Monarch School, and her efforts and dedication to pioneer the proper moral in a system of education and making sure there is still somewhere people can go to truly appreciate and learn the values of basic needs.
Learn to live.
What reason is more significant than that?
